This beautiful boy is Ranger. His story began two years ago when he was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Georgia as a one year old pup. His past history is unknown but he had shown up skinny with a large cut around his neck. We had intentions of fostering him. At the time we had three dogs of our own. For over a year, we tried to have them all get along but it was too much. After realizing that they would never get along or be comfortable with one another, we found a family for Ranger. We were very happy and relieved. He has lived with them for the past two years but now we find ourselves in the same predicament. We are once again looking for a new home for Ranger because the owners’ living arrangements have changed and they can no longer keep him.

Ranger is a terrier/hound mix who is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is approximately 4 years old. We are looking for an adults only single dog home and preferably someone with experience in resource guarding behavior. He has recently completed a 3 month behavioral training course and is finishing up his resource guarding training. His new adopter will be able to get an appointment with the trainer in order to learn how to implement what Ranger has learned.

Ranger has been through so much in such a short time and truly deserves another chance.
