Monte was found living in Jamaica, Queens with several other dogs in a dirty, trash strewn alley. They slept in abandoned cars and ate out of trash bags in the middle of the night. Some of the dogs have been living there for as long as three years. After talking to the neighborhood kids, we found out that Monte (formerly named Money) was once someone’s dog. His owner was shot and killed and Monte then became homeless and lived on the streets. He has been there for three years. Monte is a shy dog but not aggressive. He is just learning that he is safe now and won’t have to worry about where he will get his next meal or finding a safe place to sleep. He is appreciative of any attention he gets. He will need a quiet understanding home to help him come out of his shell. For more info on Monte please email Adopt@bobbicares.org
