Say hello to Karma!
She is a gorgeous combination of a Shi Tzu and Bichon Frise known as a Teddy Bear, and is approximately 3 months old.
Karma was surrendered to us on 7/3/18 by her owner, who purchased her from a puppy store five days prior to surrendering her. The owner stated she was an “impulse purchase” and didn’t have time for her. She tried to “return” her to get her money back from the puppy store but they refused her request. Karma was then brought to us.
Upon intake, Karma was lethargic and did not want to play. This was not normal behavior for a nine week old puppy. She had no interest in food. We knew something was wrong. Karma then started vomiting. So off to our vet she went.
Karma then received around the clock care at our vet’s office for seven days while clinging to life. She tested positive for the Parvo virus. She still had no appetite and was still vomiting. This little girl was given fluids, antibiotics, vitamins, supplements, blood tests, and a blood transfusion. Her little body, only 2 pounds, 8 ounces, refused to give up … and neither did we!
We are happy to report that our sweet little Karma has pulled through her ordeal and is now ready to go to her forever home with a person or family who will love her forever.
Karma is currently in foster. If you are interested in making her your forever furbaby, please email adopt@bobbicares.org to request an adoption application. Upon completion of the application, please either email it back or fax it to 516-378-5119.
Karma will be spayed, microchipped, has tested negative for heart worm, and will be up to date on all vaccines upon adoption.
Thank you for your interest in Karma!
