Our handsome Jack is an 8 month old Coonhound mix puppy looking for a family to help him continue blossoming. Surrendered by his owner through no fault of his own, this boy is nervous upon meeting new people right now. He will need a patient owner who has lots of time to spend with him while he learns the essentials. He’ll flourish with plenty of playtime, exercise, mental stimulation, socialization and love while he continues to learn. He is currently working on some basic behaviors like “sit” and “down”, and his leash walking skills are getting much better! We’ve noticed that he enjoys walking with a stick in his mouth…which is the cutest thing to see!
Our Jack is a playful pup! He is a jumper and/or climber and will need a fully enclosed 6-foot fenced yard (no chainlink fence, though). Jack is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. He is currently at our Freeport location. If you would like to meet him, please fill out the adoption application on our website using a laptop or desktop (no phone or tablet, please) at https://bobbiandthestrays.org/adoption-page-new/. Kindly keep in mind that our adoptions are local only (NYC area and Long Island)
