Our handsome Jack is a 1 1/2 year old Coonhound mix who is looking for that special someone to help him continue blossoming. He will flourish in an adult only, fairly calm/quiet household with a patient owner who has lots of time to spend with him while he learns the essentials. We believe him to be a “one person” kind of dog who will most likely do well with another dog.
Surrendered by his owner through no fault of his own, this boy is nervous upon meeting new people right now. He’ll do well with plenty of playtime, exercise, mental stimulation, socialization and love while he continues to learn. He is currently working on some basic behaviors like “sit” and “down”, and his leash walking skills are getting much better! We’ve noticed that he enjoys walking with a stick in his mouth…which is the cutest thing to see!
Our Jack is a playful pup! He is a jumper and/or climber and will need a fully enclosed 6-foot fenced yard (no chainlink fence, though). Jack is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. He is currently at our Freeport location. If you would like to meet him, please fill out the adoption application on our website using a laptop or desktop (no phone or tablet, please) at https://bobbiandthestrays.org/adoption-page-new/.
