Athena is a 6 ½-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who has overcome unthinkable hardships and is ready for a fresh start! She’s spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and is healthy and eager for a forever home.
Athena’s story has touched many hearts, appearing on major news networks after she endured horrific abuse. But with months of medical care and rehabilitation, Athena has blossomed into a strong, energetic, and loving companion who walks well on a leash.
Athena requires patience and consistency and will do best in a home with an experienced Pit Bull owner or someone who understands her breed, what she’s been through and who has no other dogs.
