Say hello to Ollie!
She is a gorgeous 5 year old tuxedo who came from a city shelter and is now safe with us. This girl is very shy right now and needs time to warm up upon first introduction. She will be fine once she gets to know you. Ollie would love to be your new fur baby!
Ollie’s story is a very sad one…
Ollie came from a home where her caretaker sadly passed away. Her husband, knowing how much his wife loved her cats, continued to care for them and even took in more cats. There was a total of 43 cats in the home. Tragically, the house caught fire and the owner was moved to a hotel. He later wrote a letter to a neighbor requesting that she take care of the cats for him and then committed suicide. The police were called and all of the cats were picked up by NYC Animal Care & Control. Councilman Robert Holden reached out to Bobbi for help. Bobbi and the Strays has taken in 8 of these cats in an effort to help with this desperate situation. Ollie is one of the eight cats who are now in need of new homes.
Ollie is spayed, negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines. Ollie would love to begin her new life in a forever home with a patient and kind new owner. She would be happy to share her new home with other kitties, too!
You can meet this pretty girl at our Atlas location, 80-36 Cooper Ave., Glendale.
