Say hello to Lucky!
He is a gorgeous 5 year old brown tabby with white markings who was rescued from a city shelter and is now safe with us.  Lucky is an extremely affectionate and social head-butting kitty who is waiting to share his love with you!

Lucky’s story is a very sad one…

Lucky came from a home where his caretaker sadly passed away.  Her husband, knowing how much his wife loved her cats,  continued to care for them and even took in more cats.  There was a total of 43 cats in the home.   Tragically, the house caught fire and the owner was moved to a hotel.  He later wrote a letter to a neighbor requesting that she take care of the cats for him and then committed suicide.  The police were called and all of the cats were picked up by NYC Animal Care & Control. Councilman Robert Holden reached out to Bobbi for help. Bobbi and the Strays has taken in 8 of these cats in an effort to help with this desperate situation.  Lucky is one of the eight cats who are now in need of new homes.

Lucky is waiting for his second chance at a good life with someone who is patient and kind.  He is neutered, negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines.

You can meet this sweet boy at our Freeport location, 2 Rider Place.  He’s waiting for you!

Thank you for your interest in Lucky!
