This is a COURTESY LISTING:
His name is Apollo. He’s a 5 year old, 90lb German Shepherd and he lives outdoors ALL YEAR long in Queens, NY.
His owner says he is a good boy, he is calm and knows commands but she no longer wants to care for him. Urgh. She would like to find him a new home and is willing to hold on to him for a bit if there is a rescue willing to help place him or if we can find him a home without rescue but if not will drop him at a city shelter. For those of you who are not familiar with city shelters, being an owner surrender there is basically a death sentence.
This poor boy doesn’t deserve to live life outside, in a poorly assembled dog house, without knowing what it is to be loved or to sit in a shelter with a time stamp on him. My dogs are warm, loved and happy and I can’t help but wonder if Apollo will ever know what that feels like. I’m determined to help him the best I can.
I’ve been asked by a friend to help find placement for this sweet pup. If you would like to save this handsome boy’s life, please reach out to me directly.
If you are seeing this and are a rescue who can not help because you are full, out of fosters and out of money like the rest, please take a moment to share. It could save this boy’s life.
Apollo is neutered, chipped, up to date on vaccinations and is a purebred GS with documentation.
Please feel free to share.
Thank you All.
