Our dear friend and co-worker, Gerri or Geraldina as some of us called her, was very proud of being a Rehabilitation Counselor and was dedicated to helping those with mental illness. Her other love and passion was animal welfare – she rescued dogs, took them in to her house, mothered them, found them loving homes and shared her own home (and her husband’s) with her adopted friends.

She called them her pups. She was devoted to St. Francis, the patron saint of animals.

We hope you’re with your pups and with St. Francis now, dear sweet Gerri.
